Boxwell Reservation

2001

I know I've been a bit lax in getting information out to everyone the last few weeks.  In fact, I think it's been almost two months since my last mailing!   Fortunately the student teaching is now over (an interesting experience, let me tell you) and I am at last "free" of graduate education!  Thus, having a little time on my hands, I thought I would make a little Christmas gift for everyone.

"Boxwell Reservation 2001" is simply a collection of photos from camp this summer.  It's nothing so elaborate as a virtual tour or anything like that.  My Web design skills just aren't that amazing.  Many of these pictures will undoubtedly turn up on the Virtual Boxwell page when we get the next stage finished, but in the meantime, I thought many of you might like a look at camp in the 21st century.

Now, allow me to warn you before you enter the site.  If you haven't been to camp in a few years, then the place is going to look quite different in many respects.  Camp is an ever changing thing - it is never static.  Camp changed from my first summer to my last and has changed since.  In my mind I like to remember it being and looking one certain way, but reality would not justify that image.  Keep that in mind yourself as you flip through these pages!

Not all the pictures are amazing.  They were all taken with the Web page in mind, but some of us are better photographers than others.  Russ Parham and David Smith both took pictures, as did I.  If you run across a photo that's a bit blurry or lacks the clarity that you would like, I guarantee I took it!  I don't have the eye for good photography, still coming from the 'point and click' school of picture taking.  So, my apologies.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little visual update of camp.  For fastest loading, I have divided up each camp, so those of us still on dial up modems won't have to wait 5 years for everything to come up! Also, the bottom of every page has a Boxwell patch, like this one:

Simply click on the patch and it will bring back to the main menu for that section.

I will keep the site up during the holidays, so be sure to come by and visit more than once!
